Virus repair/removal
The internet is a great place to find information and share photos, videos, etc. with people. However it is also a wild and dangerous place where viruses lurk. I often tell people to beware of clicking on links if you’re not sure who sent it, or if you don’t know what the link leads to. Unfortunately, the bad guys are out there and they are using various tricks to lure innocent folks to download their nefarious programs. No matter how you were infected, my goal is to preserve your data and return to you a working computer free from viruses/worms/malware.
Replacements/Upgrades
In today’s climate of relatively inexpensive computers it often makes more sense to replace a computer, than to pay for the parts and time it would take to repair or upgrade. Sometimes breathing new life into an existing computer makes more sense. After running a series of diagnostics I’ll be able to help you to make the right call. I’ll provide you with recommendations to help you to make purchase decisions.
Networking
Home networking allows you to split your internet connection amongst multiple computers/devices. In addition, networking gives you the option of setting up sharing between the devices on your network. Whether you want to add a wireless device to your home, share data between computers or upgrade or replace your existing router, I can help you.
Tutoring/Education
Whether you are just starting out with computers, learning a new program or are wanting to refresh your skills I can help to explain complex computer jargon in layman’s terms. In my career I’ve worked in offices with up to 800 employees. That has helped me to find ways to explain things to folks with all different experience levels. Whether you are a technophobe or an ubergeek I’ll be able to share my knowledge with you at your level.
